Just finished my lunch today it was yummy…ok now to my question When I make chicken breast sandwich at home the patty has shred that stick between teeth (I apologize if its gross) but when I get the same kind of sandwich from a fast food joint …nothing of the sort happens.
My question is why not? and do you think they pound the chicken breast before frying it or grilling it
Re: Homemade Chicken sandwich vs Fast food chicken
The ones used in fast food is processed meat which is why it doesnt stick... Honestly, your homemade one is much more healthier than that junk they process at fast foods! The reason why some of the mickyD sandwiches like the double cheese burger and the mcchicken are so damn cheap is because of this cheap processes meat that they use, whereas their whole breast chicken sandwiches etc are still 4-5 bucks... Just use some floss, and be healthy!
ofcourse, the above might not be entirely right as my knowledge is limited when it comes to such things
Re: Homemade Chicken sandwich vs Fast food chicken
Always go for the smallest chicken you can get. If you buy the chicken which is the size of a goat or lamb will create the issue. Also marinate it for longer hours before grilling it.
If you are buying just the chicken breast for this purpose you have to marinate it for longer time then you do. If you do not marinate at all or marinate for short time you will face the issue you are facing.
If you boil it and then grill it , it will save you from marination.
I usually slice the chicken breast horizontally and then marinate it with lemon, my ammi's all purpose masala :) and salt. And then I make individual servings and wrap in cling film and then they go into freezer bags. So I think they do have quite a bit of marination, the masalas are in there pretty good (they taste real good thats why and they are juicy) just this lil prob of threads getting stuck in my teeth.
