I don’t get it! Why do homeless people have to pay for them (~$1000 a month) ?? They are homeless because they have no money! 50% have gotten themselves into this situation by doing drugs, addiction to alcohol etc… and out of the remaining 50%, only about 8-9% have jobs! (that don’t pay much at all)
I don’t know about other countries but USA definitely has enough money to make enough shelters for the homeless, right?
I was watching a series called “Invisible People” on youtube where this guy has interviewed various homeless people in the States and the stories are heartwrenching! Most of the people had proper full time jobs and then they got laid off and ended up on the streets! I fail to understand how this can happen in a country like the United States. This particular video made me emotional! This person is disabled and she’s been homeless for 16 years!!!
No support for them from the government?? Even if there is support available its simply not enough! Why so?
Capitalistic society my friend..... its all about money here!!
You can have a quick test. Lets say you get a fake prescription of life-saving drug from somewhere and you go to pharmacy to get it and tell them you have no insurance.. then see how they treat you! Same with hospitals..
And homelessness is not the only end-result of all this. The other day a african-american woman here killed her two daughters just becuz she was jobless and didnt have any money. Sounds familiar? Yes you can read these stories in pakistani papers. But here its no different either!!
I know sad is a small word to express your feelings.. :(
