People who are home owners how many of you have loss equity in your home?:hmmm: Tell us in percentage we loss around 4% or some our friends loss 50% which is indeed a great loss but they cannot do anything about accept pass time.

I live in a city where they say , homes have gotten a raise in value. But you cannot sell the home for years , because there is lot of new development going on. So people let their home go into foreclosure. :bummer:

We bought our house at x amount. Due to property boom, the value increased 6 times the original value. Even though the bubble burst and recession was here, property value fell, our house is still 4 times the original value.

UZ I think those individuals who wanted to sell their home due to personal reasons must have suffered tonns in this recession... but generally for those who didnt really want to sell their property, the downturn shouldnt really affect them as much coz the market isnt going to stay down forever .. and in a few years it will become competitive yet again ...

I cannot say much about other places, however Toronto or more specifically GTA property valuue has increased, I recently sold an investment house i had purchased late 2008 and mashaAllah i believe there was an increase in value of about 15-20% then what i purchased it for :k:
