home made samosa

does any one has a good easy recipe for samosa?

i dont like the crunchy ready made one..with the spring roll skin/dough

i am planning to make a batch for eid.

1.5kg plain flour
1 cup oil
1.5 teaspoon salt
Combine the above with water to make dough n let it rest for 2 hours

Make peras n roti then cook on tawa for 20 seconds each side. Make sure roti isn’t too thick. Cut in 2 then make shape n fill with filling of choice.

It makes a really crumbly/ crunchy pastry

This makes about 80, we then freeze them for when needed.

^^ as above! Works a treat! My mum makes them on a massive tawaa which allows for around 5 samosas per roti i cant roll that big so make mine smaller

Try using 2,3,4 layers of those depending on your liking. Your life will be easy.
This year Swad Brand had very good samosa sheets for Ramzan season. I could not get those when we needed those again.
I hope they will make them a regular item.

I use the above recipe but layer 3/4 rotis with flour and oil in between each layer before cooking the pull each layer apart for really thin samosa sheets.
