I made home made pot roast last night and it was so delicious and tender.
I used a slow cooker and basically cooked it for 5-6 hours on high. The meat was falling off the roast. So tender…
In case, anyone wants to make it. The recipe is as follows :-
I took pot roast beef and fried it slightly in olive oil. After browning the meat, I added vegies (carrots, onions, red potatoes) on the bottom of the cooker. Placed the meat on top. Added one can of onion soup and one pack Lipton Onion Soup Mix (dry). A few shots of Wostershire sauce and one cup water.
Seasoned the meat roast with italian seasonings and salt and pepper.
After 5 hours of slow cooking…the end result was delicioussssss…
I also saved the liquid (fat) at the end for a gravy sauce. Cook with some flour and the perfect brown gravy.
