Re: Home Made Mayonnaise!

I would never want to eat it when i make it at home:(

Re: Home Made Mayonnaise!

Same here. It just doesn't feel the same. :/

Re: Home Made Mayonnaise!

In times of emergency, very good knowledge to have. Do we have to wear a flowery pink hat when we make it though?

Re: Home Made Mayonnaise!

^ why so? I am assuming the lady making it in the video is wearing one. lol.

lolzzzz.....sure.. u can wear if u want one...n importantly if u hav one ;)
infact me n my hubby are the only ppl at our place....n i dont want to hav a jar full of mayo in my fridge n not being consumed...now how much mayo can two ppl consume....and to b frank...an important reason is...i dont want that mayo jar to tempt me every tym i grab a piece of bread resulting in putting on extra bunch of calories...so its better to make it just wen its needed...n only in small amounts :p

Re: Home Made Mayonnaise!

jar mayo is pretty expensive. maybe ill try this

lol that's cute.

A piece of advice. Use olive oil. It will taste better. Dont use yolks, so Ur mayo doesn't smell. Garlic salt makes it taste heavenly.

Yeahhh…i agree abt garlic :halo: yum yum

Re: Home Made Mayonnaise!

Thanks for sharing, Im going to try this one day. I was just wondering the other day how do you make mayonnaise at home. Did you use it all up or can you store it in the fridge for a few days

Re: Home Made Mayonnaise!

Place it in the colder region of ur refrigrator...then i guess it can be stored for a week or two!

Re: Home Made Mayonnaise!

I would not use fresh homemade mayonnaise after 2 days (3 days max) because it has raw egg in it, even if it is pasteurised, there is a good chance of salmonella growing in it - dangerous food poisoning risk. In any case, it must be kept in a very cold fridge as you say AE.
