CB, I "childproofed" my home with the birth of my first child and still they can get into things you wouldnt think about. I made a bad mistake of buying glass-top tables for my living room before the kids arrived - we removed the glass, cut some plywood and put tablecloths over them. Looks kinda hinky but better that than risk of the things that could happen lol. We have no breakable nik-nacs around.
I keep a very close eye on them when we visit anyone, we didnt do much visiting when they were toddlers. I really appreciate when we go to a home that is childproofed - when you know little ones are coming, collect your vases and breakables, put them in another room and close the door. Its well worth the effort because no matter how watchful the parents are, kids can be quick.
Mama … so do you keep all decor wood bases? obviously heavy metal decoration pieces are a hazard with kids around … so the only thing left is wood or plastic …
other then the tables or furniture , how do you decorate your home to keep it child safe?
