Crestron is hard. Get X10 and program everything on the PC.
PS: I just realized that this is in the C&A forum, so I think ur in this business and/or trying get info on it.

I am in building automation technologies.....
I do building automation for commerical buildings..nothing residential but......
what would you like ? is it for your home or office?

neither.. i wanna work in the industry.. i wanna get training in home automation wether it be whole building controls or just private homes.. I need to work in the integration part .. the programming bit. ![]()
its just that my interest lies in this field and i dont know where to start .. ![]()

^ have you looked into the CompTIA HTI+ certification? I’m sure this would be a good starting point for anyone interested in Residential Automation systems. The CEDIA Installation certifiaction would perhaps be the next logical step.
I’m sure there are public and private institutes providing training programs for these certification programs.
I’m somewhat interested in learning about home automation technologies but mainly as a hobby… I’d like to learn more about installing and integrating distributed audio systems, computer networks, and security surveillance systems at some point in time.

that really varies by location man... like I said, now that you know what to look for, you can search online for training providers. I'm sure there'd be vocational schools in your area that can help.
