I attended this resume writing seminar held in Career Center of my university and was told that it’s not necessary to write home address on resume. What they told us to write under Personal Information section is 1) name 2) a telephone number preferably one with voice mail and 3) e-mail address.
Is it really all the information an employer is looking at the time of calling potential candidates for interview?
^ I have two versions - the public one posted on the Internet (my website and/or employment sites) do not list the home address, but when I'm specifically applying for a job, I'd definitely put my address - it lends more credibility to your application, and some employers still engage in the practice of sending official correspondence such as confirmations and/or interview calls via snail mail.
