Guys, SAWAN, the mega hit seriel of PTV in 2001 is on prime again. Monday 2:20 pm-4:00 pm, two episodes of this great classic are aired.
If you haven’t still watched it (and god knows why) WATCH IT. If you’ve watched it already then WATCH IT again.
Sawan is truly a classic. With excellent script, superb performences and production values this is truly a gem. God even the title track (written by Riaz ur rehman saagar) is so awesome that it draws me toward it over and over again and again.

to be honest this is all an understatment for this classic.
When it was first aired on Prime in the fall of '01, we (my family) loved it so much that we specifically stopped doing everything for that 1 hour.
After the finale, my brother somehow managed to find a website an ordered it online, for like 30 bucks.
Though, I have memorized most of the lines of Sawan but still watched the first two episodes again today. Nothing like watching it episode by episode weekly.
Anyways, it's a magnificent play. Though the first 3 or 4 episodes only develop the storyline, it kick starts when all the protagonistare older. Scenes between Kashif Mehmood and Faisel Qureshi, epecially the one in which Faisel beats Kashif for trespassing are so emotionally charged and handled carefully as not to overblow it. Kashif intriguing Sawera Nadeem. Saira Khan fighting for her fiance, Kashif are all superb.
It's one helluva play. Everybody owes it to themselves to watch it.
watched this drama in pak last summer, i also couldn’t believe that it was on air, saw all three episodes this monday.
Excellent drama, kashif’s acting is zabardast. title song is great :k: The ending is kind of sad though
^the ending I think was overdone. There was no reason for the 17th episode, IMO. It was as if the director wanted to spoon feed us the ending, as if we're brain dead to draw the conclusion ourselves.
Dhoowan and Sawan are both fantastic! Well, this is only the first time I'm watching Sawan but it is so good! I've seen Dhoowan at least 5 times and every time it brings tears to my eyes......But both dramas are great and everyone who hasn't already is highly recommended to watch both of them!
