You implied Bollywood thrives on Hollywood ripoffs, so i asked you to name atleast 10 copies from last year, considering so many films are produced per year, and you give me excuses like "last year surprisingly they didnt copy so much"?
yupe, the basic idea of Ghajini was copied from Memento, and certainly, the original is better, my personal fav. and i havent watched Heroes, it was a flop too, both commercially and critically. so dont know what to make of a "a whole scene ripped off of the popular sitcom Friends".
and i asked you to provide names of 10 film from last year, and you give me films from a 5-6 years radius?
I havent seen All my Sons, but people who did let me know that RDB was nothing like it. Sanjay Gupta is a big copier, and he acknowledges it, so yeah, i know Zinda is a copy. Mr ya Miss is copied from Hot Chick? in the former, the boy gets transformed *into a girl, and in the later, a boy and a girl get their souls *interchanged. see the difference? you may call "Its a boy/girl thing" a Hot Chick rip off. ever heard of the *Book *The Godfather? it features regularly in the lists of Top Ten Books ever written. you may want to check it out sometime. Sarkar was based on the Book and not the movie. The last three are copies, agreed. and the last one in particular sucked big time.
If I sounded like i was saying "they thrive" on it then i apologize however, you also sounded as if defending them for copying hollywood. Bollywood does produce some great movies like Jodha Akbar, Swades, Lagaan but the thing is they sometimes end up copying without giving credit where it is due.
