Ok guys…so this year is the first big holiday party (at least the most important one) that I am attending.
All the hot shot CEO’s, VPs etc in my law firm will be here. This is my chance to impress them because there really isn’t any other time or place that I get to meet them…and this is also where they will be the most relaxed and willing to hear you out.
So tell me…what attire is best for such an occassion?

For mine and its my last party at this place after working here for 5.5 almost 6 years, Im wearing a plain white short chiffon dress which falls right above the knees accessorized with a chunky gold belt some bling bling gold heels and a cute clutch.
If you really want to be noticed, don’t wear just another black dress with black heels, because everyone else will also be wearing that, wear come chic and also different yet keeping it office appropriate. Different color/cute high heels/chunky bracelet/hot clutch and your good to go!

Good advice - however - any other color is either too bold or makes you feel out of place. Black is always acceptable in parties here.
I would love to blend in with new colors but I never felt comfy among peers her.
The only acceptable colors here are black and brown. (mostly dark colors).eww
i have a really cute red and black plaid high waisted pencil skirt with a black blouse and some pearls to dress it up. I did a bit more dramatic makeup than they were used to seeing look like at my office. oh and i wore opaque black tights.
Another year I found a really cute simple cocktail dress that wasn't too fancy nor too revealing it worked and i brought a dressy sweater luckily bc it was cold at the restaurant.
i’ve been looking for a nice dress for a graduation party coming up and well i went to bcbg’s website and they have a whole section just for office party wear
where is the party being held? I think dark black dress pants paired with a satiny top and blod accessories would look awesome... or if you're ok with dresses and skirts.. go for a a pencil skirt with a pretty tunic top or shimmery glittery sweater and chunky heels... or a shift dress+leggins+boots.... minimum skin show for an office party is the key here... you could go a tad casual or understated with teh clothes but dress it up with accessories, nice makeup and a nice hairdo/hairstyle
Target has some nice work dresses that could be dressed up.

ironically I just checked out bcbg’s site before coming here and I too saw some nice clothes. I went to BR last night…didnt really see anything nice.
Our party is held at a restaurant which is reserved for us in downtown DC. It’s nothing formal.
Riya thanks so much this…def gave me some ideas. I think I will focus more on hair and accessories. Was thinking of doing an updo since wont be showing any skin lol
