Where do you draw the line when it comes to packing your makeup bag for your holiday?

I like to pack a lot of multi-purpose items or palettes. I'll take a tinted moisturizer w/ SPF instead of having two separate things. And I LOVE blush/highlighters so I'd take my NARS trio (the one which was limited-edition, sadly but it has Orgasm, Albatross (highlighter) and the bronzer in Laguna. I love the zippered-packaging too).
And I dont like taking too many lipsticks so 2-3 are fine or just a few lipglosses. And I'd take my Naked Palette and a few makeup brushes such as MAC's 239, 217, 266 and a 168 (for blush/highlighting/bronzer).

Must have MU items for vacation: Sunscreen, primer, foundation, powder, brow fillers, highlighter/contour, makeup remover.
With eyeshadows, blushes, lipsticks....I just take colors that match with my outfits. Brushes...I pretty much take every brush I'll need to apply the products.

it depends on whether it's a city break or a beach holiday. For a city break I'd take most of my everyday essentials, but for a beach break I take a lot less cause I feel like I get a little "holiday glow" so I can get away with a more natural look.

I ended up brining my Chanel pallette, Urban decay pallette, a small Maybelline ( 4eyeshadows) pallette, Mac's naked lunch single shadow

Neutral eyeshadows (gold, black, taupe, bronze etc.)
! neutral lipstick, 1 darker lipstick

I take nearly everything, and then end up using nothing! and wish i hadnt packed so much with me
