My record is about 5 minutes holding breath under water, but you have to keep exhaling slowly and intermittently and many avid swimmers can do this easily, I think total interruption of breathing will be maximum 50 seconds to one minute for me also underwater. Never tried holding breath on ground.

Do you think the duration will be different on the ground?
I never timed myself while holding breath underwater, but I felt it’s easier to let go and hold breath under water as compared to on ground. Maybe due to the intermittent exhaling underwater. Though I doubt I ever went beyond 1.5 minutes
