I don’t have news stories or links on hand right now, but earlier this week, an 18 year old college student alleged that 5 men gang raped her. They were all between 18 and 21. Four of the men were arrested and thier names were released in the media while the fifth one was being pursued.. One of the five men worked for campus security and used his position to get his friends onto teh campus.
The girl was at a party. Her cell phone was snatched and she ran after him. He then took the opportunity to kidnap her. The details that were described were pretty horrific. I remember feeling incredibly sad and angry for the poor girl and the monsters.
Today it was revealed that she was lying and it had been consensual. So… sad and disgusting on so many levels.
i dont know..i heard the guys were later laughing and happy that they got exonerated...of course they'd be happy
i really really really dont want to side with teh girl--b/c her actions, of simply accusing them of rape, were really deplorable. yet, she will have to live with it. not only of the legal repercussions for filing a false police report, but also that everyone knows that she consensually had sex with 5 men at the same time. ew.
she was at a party right? most likely she was drunk/intoxicated and wasnt thinking properly at the time. now she has to live with it. Good thing the guys got out of jail.
