No one jump on me if i am mistaken. Is it accurate that he mourned and wept due to the passing away of one of his infant sons; i read this as being cited as one of the hadiths (perhaps Bukhari but i don't have a ref number). If i am wrong, i would appreciate someone telling me nicely without jumping down my throat because i too am here simply to learn more about my faith. So if i am wrong, please be nice about it. Muchas gracias.

The following narration has been mentioned in Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawood and Sunan Ibne Majah:
Anas bin Malik reported that: The Messenger of Allah :saw: entered the room and we accompanied him… And Ibrahim breathed his last. The eyes of Allah’s Messenger :saw: were filled with tears. Abdur Rehman Ibne Auf said: ‘you are weeping, O Messenger of Allah’. He :saw: replied: “Ibne Auf, This is mercy”. Then he :saw: said: “Our eyes shed tears and our hearts are filled with grief, but we do not say anything except that by which Allah is pleased. O, Ibrahim we are sorrowful due to your separation.”
