I understand where you’re coming from, but is it really imperative that, as Muslims, we all agree on something or about how to go about it? As you brilliantly stated earlier in this thread, there 2 billion extremely diverse Muslims across the world and it stands to reason that we may view things a bit differently. Personally, I don’t view diversity of opinion as confusion. As long as people are civil about their opinions (a concept that clearly eludes some people on here), there’s nothing wrong with differences in opinion.

Sadly, it doesn’t feel like wishy washy diversity of opinion when people start dictating how Muslims should feel or whether they even have the right to feel upset about Palestinians. Start passing holier than thou judgement about other’s moral high ground and action plan, present two wrongs make a right logic and indulge in petty ‘either all or none’ cynicism.

An industrial scale massacre of innocent people is going on, instead of dwelling on negativity, and monotonous self loathing, it’s time to just think about those innocent people, help them, stand by them and see how we can be one voice on at least one particular issue. Far too much emphasis is placed on others’ flaws whereas it’s the every little positive that eventually helps. Besides, if anyone doesn’t like to talk about Palestinians and want to focus on evil Muslims, sweefs has given an excellent advice on the previous page - open up new threads on Syria/Iraq/Afghanistan or start contributing in the existing threads. No one is stopping anyone from campaigning for those countries. Since Muslims are so diverse, the world really won’t come to an end, if a large chunk of that massive group of population is busy raising awareness for Palestine.
