Thats another discussion, whether India could keep these soldiers for long time against the international pressure. Indira was an iron lady full of political will and wisdom but lacking tolerance.

Indira always tolerated the most, be it Bhidranwale or her politcal rise dividing entire congress. She always reacted too much too late. Bhutto never demanded land, he requested. Pundas of average calibre let alone Indira would ever give anything if demanded:D

What is the status of Tolerance in Jattland. Gurus were more tolerant. Reminds me an event, where a Muslim Sufi saint was adamant to destroy a city, but Guru requested to spare the lives of his enemies.

I was referring to the offer of Miyan Mir to Guru Arjun for demolishing the homes and city of tyrants. the kaur will explain this in detail. I know that Sikh Guru invited Muslim saint to lay the foundation of Gurdwara Amritsar.
