History of Prayer Namaz

Re: History of Prayer Namaz

 The last thing the ‘i-can-explain-the-Qur’an-better-than-the-Prophet’ brigade will want to do is fall back on manuscripts, their ages and modes of transmission… they’ve probably fallen flat on their faces too many times with that line of argument vis-a-vis Qur’an and hadith…

Re: History of Prayer Namaz

huh? that’s the source for tashahud?

Re: History of Prayer Namaz

The way to read namaz was taught by Prophet Mohammad saw. I don't think all the positions and other stuff is mentioned in Quran but what I came across the other while reading Quran meaning was that "stand for prayer as a servant stands infront of his maalik" which is with your arms tied or crossed or held together (whatever that position is called). Shiias don't hold their hands infront. Everyone else does.
