Koh-i-noor was handed over to British by the decendent of Mahraja Ranjit singh, now less than half of original size it is crown jewel of Queen of England:)
No idea of Takht-e-taus though

Takht e taus (Peacock throne) was probably taken away by Nadir Shah.

Nadir shah took both Kohinoor and Takht-e-taus, but kohinoor was retreived back by Maharaja Ranjit singh, but no idea where throne went:)

Re: History of Koh-i- Noor and Takht-e- Ta’oos
But why Nadir Shah took a wooden throne with himself? I think it got precious metals like gold and diamonds that made Nadir greedy ![]()
Re: History of Koh-i- Noor and Takht-e- Ta’oos
Kohinoor was fitted on the lower end of takht-i-taus, Shajehan used to keep his foot on it, it was the most vaulable part of it, Jehangir has a golden chain winded down his room to the street below, if anyone ever felt unjutified by the court of law, can full that chain linked to bell, but historian doubt in that age of prosperity anybody ever used it. Our history book in school had chapter " the age of grandeur and prosperity"-Jahangir and Shahjahan:D

I think Shahjahan got good revenue, thats why he was able to construct so many buildings like Taaj Mehal, Shalamar, etc.
BTW wherefrom he got this Koh-i-noor? Golconda?

he would have got those things for free labor, mant subrdars would have arranged labour for him.
Kohinoor was from goconda mines:)
