Re: History of Basant & Valentine’s Day
Yes, it’s stating the reasons why we should not celebrate Valentines Day: we have our own religious culture/identity and ways and should not blindly immmitate others.. valentines day is a chrsitian holiday to commemorate a xtian saint who married couples against the roman emperors wishes.. and it also says our religion teaches hayaa/purda so a non-married man woman should not go about loving each other..
it also talks about how basant is a hindu tehvaar and is celebrated in memeory of Haqiqat-Rai who was a Gustaakhey-Rasool :saw:, it says that he commited blasphemy against our Prophet :saw: and Bibi Faatimah
/:as: so the Mughal goverment of the time had him executed, but to keep his memory alive the Hindus of Punjab started celebrating Basant..
Some of this is news to me, if that bit about Basant is true then no honorable Muslim will ever celebrate Basant ever again.. Allah’s la’nat on the enemies of Rasool-Ullah :saw: and his daughter ![]()
Re: History of Basant & Valentine’s Day
its funny that nobody is keeping the memory of that guy alive except those opposed to basant for religious reasons.
such mullahs are both a blessing and a curse ![]()
Re: History of Basant & Valentine’s Day
yup …these clueless longbeards are only good for thinking up curses and blasphemiey charges
Re: History of Basant & Valentine’s Day
without these clueless bearded man ppl like u would still be full time hindu instead of parttime nor would they have any knowledge of islamic tradition:rolleyes:..a muslim who celebrate feasts of others is nothing but committing sin.
..

Re: History of Basant & Valentine's Day
I fear for the Imaan of the people who say it in that manner. Like how they say the word ,"Mulla"....Mostly people in Pakistan or people of Pakistani origin say it. (I'm not trying to be racist.) They are making a mockery of a Sunnah of Prophet Muhammed Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam. Making fun of a Sunnah leads to Kufr. It's like people get happy when they see that a person does not have a beard...strange indeed....A sign of spiritual sickness?
No doubt, Moulvi and Mulla are used in various contexts, but in the context of the beard or a person being religious, it's usually used in a derogatory manner by people of Pakistan.
For example, a person has a fist lenght beard, so to make fun of it, they say things like, "He looks like a Mulla or a Molvi."
Re: History of Basant & Valentine's Day
If people want to enjoy their lives, who the hell are we to stop them! But deaths and injuries during basant are not tolerable! If they continue, the governement should not allow holding basant!

have seen this kinda behaviour quite common in western paki community..i mean everybody who has beard becomes extremist/backward/terrorist/womenhater/illetrate etc etc.. ppl questioning when clearly even they know islam forbids celebrating something which has no roots in islam r not just committing sin but also committing kufr by defending their gatya way of indulging in such events:o ..i guess some ppl will go to any lengte just to be part of some particlure community:) .....
im not a big fan of mullahs but i have great respect for them ..they r always better then an average so called muslim/muslimah who makes haraam into halal and halal into haraam....and above all most mullah aint hypocrites they r very straightforward and quite honest ppl...:o ..
Re: History of Basant & Valentine’s Day
that is exactly what these longbeards want you and other gullibles to think…otherwise they go out of business.
Re: History of Basant & Valentine's Day
We learned Islamic tradition from hadith and Quran, not the modern day neo-Mullahs who know nothing of Islam.
Re: History of Basant & Valentine's Day
Who are we? Did you know Quran from the time you were born or you went to a madrassa/masjid to learn it? How did this Quran and Hadees was passed down to us? Did Prophet s.a.w came and gave it to you or it was passed to us through these same Mullahs for whom your heart is full of hatred?
