Nehru rejected the idea of making Gandhi , Governor General of India because:
a. Gandhi talked about proper allocation of funds to Pakistan
b. Gandhi had wrotten to Nehru that Mr Jinah was better candidate as Prime Minster of India than Nehru
c. Gandhi ji was against the idea of making India a secular state
d. Gandhi ji didn’t want to be a Governor General

i think Gandhi was in favor that equal shares be given to Pakistan whereas, Nehru did not want that so, he must have thought if he choose Gandhi as governor general of india he would transfer the funds to Pakistan.

Becuz I think gandhi wasnt the kinda person who wud want to be bound by such political status / title.
Im not sure...if muqa gave some more hint...might be easier.
I think option C is ruled out...gandhi was all for a secular state.
If we know the year...n its after independence ,we can rule out jinnah wala option too....then A and D will be left.

Inida made Lord Mountbatten its fisrt Governor General. Its irony that after so much struggle against British, a British was chosen for the post. but it had reasons behind that
