I’ve noticed that in History forums, with the start of a new threads, the old thread disappears from the list of threads. Currently under Indo-Pak history, only three threads are being displayed (2 being the sticky threads and one ‘More fiction than reality’) and the thread started on Waris Shah a few days ago is not being displayed.
IMO in order to keep old threads alive and enhance participation, the no. of threads to be displayed be increased to at least 20 or 40 like other forums.
But there are 10-20 non active threads on display in each forum be it Shor Sharaba, PA or Poetry. Threads remained on display even they are non-active for months and in History forums just a new thread will cause even an active thread out of display.
^ You mean to say in all the forums, all non-active threads remain on display until 60 days? If this is the case, why I can’t see ‘Waris Shah’ thread in History forums that was created 4-5 days ago.
Muqawwee, you have to set your settings to display the threads from last year or from beginning. I can bet that you have settings that show the active thread of last 10 days only
TLK in all other forums I can see 40-60 (active as well as non-active threads). For example: In ShowBiz Pakistan section, there are three pages (60 threads) on display.
Whereas in History forums (Indo-Pak section), I could see only three threads on display when I created this thread and now I could only see two sticky threads.
I think as per default settings, all the sub forums / sections should display equal number of threads. I can see even one year old threads in history forums, when I select ‘show threads from the last year’ options, otherwise by default it only displays two sticky threads.
Thanks TLK. It worked, but can't I fix that option (setting) , as after leaving and re-visiting the page I can only see those two sticky threads and I've to select 'show all the threads from beginning' option every time.
