A few days back it was the shrine of bibi zainab (RA) and today it’s Khalid bin waleed’s (RA) shrine which has been completely destroyed. I don’t know what these historical personalities have to do with the war at hand?
Re: Historical shrines being destroyed in Syria
Both sides are committing extreme atrocities.
Re: Historical shrines being destroyed in Syria
what point is being made by attacking shrines?
Re: Historical shrines being destroyed in Syria
^^^ Shrines are destroyed by international jihadi forces who are backed by Saudi Arabia and Qatar and not by Syrian themselves.
Re: Historical shrines being destroyed in Syria
And this will escalate violence in Pakistan! Very sad.
Re: Historical shrines being destroyed in Syria
This is so sad.

If that is true then just imagine what they will do if they win the war.
Re: Historical shrines being destroyed in Syria
Hazrat Khalid Bin Waleed (R.A) One of the Greatest Fighters of Islam never lost a fight in his whole life and people could not even defend his tomb
Such is a sad reality of this world nowdays :(

Re: Historical shrines being destroyed in Syria
Everyone is within his rights to think however he likes, but please do make some sense and have something to back your self up, Holy shrines have been in syria for very long time. If syrian forces wanted to destroy any of them; they would have done it when Saui's destroyed holy shrines in Janat-ul-Baqi.
People who can be accused of these crimes are those, who considering going to shrines "grave worshiping", you have videos on youtube where FSA's lantis are taking apart shrine of Hazrat Hujr ibn Adi in syria. You have videos of Syrian Army protecting Shrine of Bibi Zianab.
Even if that doesnt clear things up then look at demolution of janat ul baqi, are you going to blame syrians for that too ?

and you have the required evidence to proove this no doubt?
Re: Historical shrines being destroyed in Syria
There’s no doubt what Saudis have done in their own country, and there’s no doubt in Saudi support for some rebel groups in Syria.
This news is regarding Mali, where extremists did the same.

Re: Historical shrines being destroyed in Syria
the syrian conflict involves many nations some openly admitting they participating others not admitting anything.
Russia, Iran and its affiliated groups like hezbollah, China all openly admit aiding Bashar assad and his forces.
United States claims it not involved i don’t believe this for 1 minute same goes for France and Britian.
Turkey, Saudi arabia, qatar, are claiming to support the FSA.
Majority of the people resisting Assad forces are muslims from syria and some fighters from the sham area.
In all this how can you pin point which one is to blame for destroying the grave of Khalid bin Walid(RA) who is hero of muslims?
Re: Historical shrines being destroyed in Syria
Wahabbis, because they destroy the roza Mubarak of sahabis in saudia (oh it must be the Shiites living there... ) and Taliban who have taken out dead people from their graves, which was also repeated in Syria with further "dine your heart out" literally by one rebel. There is a reason that FSA is splintering and then fighting these wahabbi scum. I'd say that Erdogan, for his pomp, has been a huge failure for not FSA like he should have when he went to bat for them in the war. At least, bat for them fully if you are going to support someone since Assad won't be a Turkish friend after this.
Re: Historical shrines being destroyed in Syria
What about Khalid bin Walid’s (ra) rawdha? ![]()
Re: Historical shrines being destroyed in Syria
i remember very well the excuses put forth by many here when the bamiyan buddhas were destroyed. let me write one back for karma's sake - so what if a shrine is destroyed? it is not a human. it is not to be worshipped and destroying it will save people who know no better from worshipping it.

this makes no sense khalid bin walid(ra) is looked as great warrior to these people you accusing of demolishing his tomb, it appears a false accusation in my view.

Makes complete sense.
If people (Saudis) can demolish tombs of Fatima Zehra, daughter of the prophet, and Usman Ghani, the third caliph; then demolishing Khalid bin walid's tomb should not be a surprise.

I find it more plausible forces loyal to assad and iranian militia are the more likely culprits.

But it should now make sense to you that some of people fighting Assad consider all tombs center of polytheism, and thus deserving to be blown to pieces.
Now no one can stop you to put blame to your favorite villains instead of being logical.
