The Qur’an was sent down in this month i.e. in the night of ‘Lailat-ul-Qadr’.

Ghazwa e badr on 17th of Ramadan in 2nd Hijri. Its called Yom ul Furqan because it distinguished the the good forces from bad forces.

The embracing of Islam by Khadija bint Khuwailid (The wife of the Prophet :saw2: and mother of the believers). She was the first person to believe in his prophet-hood. She also died in the month of Ramadan.

The imposition of the Poor due (Zakat) was enacted in this month.

The Battle of Pontiers (Martyrs Field) in the plains of France between the Muslim army led by Abdulrahman al Ghafiqi (May Allah be pleased with him) and the Frankish army led by Charles Martel. In this battle many Muslim soldiers were Matyred. This took place in 114 A.H.

Creation of pakistan in 1947 between 27 and 28th Ramazan

Arab conquest of Sindh: 10 Ramadan (712 AD)

Pakistan itself I believe was created in ramadan (shab e Qadr).

Ajar of Umrah is equal to the Hajj during this month.

The first verse to be revealed was “Read” (Chapter 96, verses 1) on the 17th of Ramadan, 13 years before the Migration of the Prophet :saw2: to Madina corresponding to July 610 C.E
