Surprise Pointing opted to bat, considering the overcast conditions in the morning. Good performance by our bowlers once again. Its upto our batsmen to show some steel out their these next 2 days, a lead of 250-300 will have the aussies well looking over their shoulder at a heavy defeat.

What a great day for Pakistan cricket!
Bowlers were just absolutely mind blowing! Aamer’s delivery to Johnson and Asif’s spell to Ponting were the highlights for me.
Our openers fought it out too! Salman Butt once again showed excellent temperament, timing and stroke play while Farhat stood there albeit a bit luckily but he made crucial runs! Azhar Ali was unlucky to be dismissed in such poor light.. but all in all a memorable day and if we go on to win this match (InshaAllah) this will go a long way in reviving our test cricket! :k:

Ponting keeps doing that. He did so in last ashes series, did so in sydney against pak and again today! Hope we stick this one up his this time around.

Salla Punter was again harassing the umpires to allow his spinners to bowl in the dark... trying to get any advantage he can (fair or unfair) to get a couple more wickets.
