At 88 for all, Australia had Pakistan right where they wanted.
Salman Butt should have tried Malik, unless he thinks Malik is not loyal to him either. Cuz Malik does bowl some off-spin. He is useless with that bat in a test match on these pitches so try bowling maybe he'll get a quarter as lucky as Marcus North.
The way Akmal brothers have thrown away their wickets, i feel they are not helping the team.

Pretty pathetic batting display to say the least. Along with the middle order, even the tail doesent wag for Pakistan anymore...gone are the days when Saqlain, Waqar, Mushtaq, Sami etc would score runs for Pakistan as tail enders.....this current crop have ducks written all over them....no wonder the opposition is licking their lips and preparing to pad up as soon as number 7-8 comes into bat for Pakistan....they know the last 4 wickets will fall in no time.

We definitely gave away a lot of the initiative, mostly by throwing away wickets at inopportune times and then with Ponting and Clarke's partnership but to say we are out of this match or definitely going to lose is pretty damn negative.
I'd say were slightly better than an even chance and a few wickets in the morning hopefully swings this back in our favour
