I wonder if the guy knew (earlier) that his parents were interested in his cousin. Often times parents will give hints. If so, he should have made it clear to his parents that he won’t marry his cousin. I know it’s easier said than done…but why start something (an affair with a non-desi girl) if you know that you’re not going to have the courage to stand up to your parents. What was he looking for? Someone to pass his time with?

You never know…he might even just be telling you that his parents won’t accept it…and the whole time he might not have made any real effort at convincing them. If he can’t and won’t fight for you…then he’s just not that into you…have some respect for yourself and move on.

he knows that his parents wanna him marry her,and they asked his thoughts,and he said yes to them,he didn’t tell me this when we start our love,now he told me,but i have been involved too much,i asked him why he didn’t tell me about this,he told me his parents don’t wanna him marry his ex(his anther cousin),ask him choose one,asked him again and again,he was bored by his mother,then said yes,and i asked him why not tell him when he started to love me,he said he thought there would be no problem with his parents.
I am not a Pakistani,and i also don’t know much about cousin can marry cousin,and i also don’t know much about arranged marriage.
