Sindhi is treated like a bastrad child in schools all over Sindh. My class 3 sindhi teacher was an urdu speaking woman who had never spoken sindhi before. This one day she was trying to teach the whole class a sentence in sindhi and the whole class was just repeating after her like raTToo totay. This is how it went:
The line was: *Mukhey daaDhi unJh lagi aahey (mujhay boht pyaas lagi haiy - i am very thirsty). *Now if an urdu speaking person were to read it, it would come out as: Mukee dadee ajh lagi aaiee. And not so surprisingly thats how that teacher was reading it and the whole class repeated after her. There was only one other sindhi guy in class apart from me. We both looked at each other were literally ROTFLMAO’ing.
