Re: Hindustan bhi mera hai aur Pakistan bhi mera hai
Habib Jalib was writing in the cold war days and as a Marxist-Leninist he probably supported USSR and opposed the good ties Pak used to have back then with capitalistic West and the US. While it is quite nice to wish for Pak-Hindustan unity, it seems like he believed that there was some external conspiracy keeping the two countries apart when the fact remains that the continuation of hostility and troubled ties between India and Pak has nothing to do with "Amrika" or "Angrez." On the contrary, the United States has always been supportive of and very vocal in advocating close ties between Pakistan and India and has even offered to mediate on *the *issue of Kashmir (although India does not want to internationalize the dispute and believe that the contentious issue should be resolved bilaterally).

May be Jalib wrote that as a Marxist, but America only played politics of its interests in sub-continent. Friendly India-Pakistan does not suit its agenda.

Why not? There is no agenda. If that was the case, it would not have been advocating improvement of ties between the two neighbors or offered to mediate in Kashmir. Friendly India-Pak would actually result in less headache from Pak for the rest of the world and a stable South Asia, and that is in every one's interest.
Re: Hindustan bhi mera hai aur Pakistan bhi mera hai
The interests of the international community including the US converge on this point that there should be good friendly ties between Pakistan and India.
Re: Hindustan bhi mera hai aur Pakistan bhi mera hai
Lets keep this discussion about hypocrisy of World power and how it exploits situation for some other time :) but just a little comment for the time-being: sellers of arms always want to make sure that buyers always need these arms :D
Re: Hindustan bhi mera hai aur Pakistan bhi mera hai
There are lots of buyers out there. And if you have a great world-class product then there would always be buyers for that. Most European states have cordial ties with other states but they still spend on defense and keep on buying arms.
