Lucknow, Nov. 5: Six lives were lost as communal violence broke out in Barabanki and Chandauli districts of Uttar Pradesh today just when Mau, where riots had killed 10 people last month, was limping back to normality.
A rumour that minority farmers were slaughtering cows sparked a frenzy in Barabanki, where at least 40 homes were torched. The district administration refused to confirm reports of three deaths but admitted that at least 20 people were injured.
In the Chakia area of Chandauli, near Varanasi, three villagers were killed this morning as a battle over land took on a communal hue.
A piece of land seized from a wealthy Hindu under land ceiling laws had been given to Muslim farmers. A court recently restored the land to the earlier owner but as he tried to take control of it, he ran into a public protest, said Chandauli senior superintendent of police R.K. Chaturvedi. Soon it degenerated into riots.
In Barabanki, according to superintendent of police S.B. Shirodkar, the trouble began in the early hours in a cluster of villages in the Mohammadpur area. “Following a rumour of massive cow slaughter, some people attacked the farmers and set fire to their homes.”
The police were slow to act — a lapse that has led to an inspector’s suspension. The situation has been brought under control by sending reinforcements. “After clamping prohibitory orders, we have deployed the Provincial Armed Constabulatory,” district magistrate S.P. Singh said. Out of six killed, three are Muslims. Who are the rest?
Your report says that…‘The police were slow to act’, whereas as per per other websites the Police already conducted an enquiry dt 6th and declared that no cow was slaughters.

Open your own news papers and you will find plenty of such incidents in your own country, and here at one incident totally unclear, you all people start dancing…oh India is so and so bad.

The link reports are very weak. One report says that the Police are very slow in action, others say that the very next morning the Police conducted an enquiry and came to a conclusion that no cow was slaughtered.
One news paper says that six persons are killed……if three are Muslims who the rest?

Exactly. Thousands of Muslims got burned, raped and butchered in Gujrat by these type of Hindu’s, and yet all we have is excuses and justifications from the Indian side for this crime.

While every right thinking Indian hangs his head in shame for the Gujarat riots, you will have to understand the origins of the riots..
When 3 muslim youth were accidently killed in France when they were running away from the police, the repercussions are there for everyone to see.

You see how peacefully they kill others. They killed 29 who were performing prayers at Akshardham, Gujarat.
Recent blasts at Delhi have no comparisans.
So far they have obliged me not to ask why Muslims should not respect the sentiments of the majority community. It is matter of time. No one will expect them to behave.

No, they don’t. Millions of Hindu Indians voted back Modi and his Muslim burning and murdering terrorists back into power, and others spend their time justifying the slaughter. Thousands of Muslims were burned, raped and killed by design of the Hindu fanatics in power in Gujrat and India, and hundreds of others thrown out of their houses.

It’s good to see sensible Indians agreeing and acknowledging that there is a probelm with hindu extermism and terrorism. As for minorites to abide by the Law of the Land, I think they do their best to adhere. Is cow considered holy by Indian law and prohibited to be salughtered?
