Muslim protesters set ablaze buildings belonging to Hindus in a Pakistani town on Wednesday, after a Hindu woman gave away sweetmeats wrapped in paper bearing Islamic verses, police said in Quetta.
They said the protesters, complaining of alleged desecration of the verses from the Koran, set fire to a Hindu temple, three houses and a shop at Dalbandin, in the south-western province of Baluchistan, of which Quetta is the capital.
Local authorities called in the paramilitary Frontier Corps to control the violence, government officials said.
They said the incident erupted after the illiterate Hindu housewife had used pages torn from a school textbook, one of which had Koranic verses, as wrappings.
Some members of the Muslim community held a protest against what they called desecration of the Koranic verses and incited people to attack Hindu properties, the officials said.
They said the situation was brought under control and four people were arrested for the violence.

I agree with you ,The watcher.The incident though regrettably unfortunate ,does carry any more sigfnificance than a child in india was sold for 20 rs. or a maid was locked up for 3 days while the masters were enjoying durga puja .These are despecable events. I dont know how pakistn is ,but let that be there business & we have enough such incidents in India also
Thankyou Hrithik for tivilizing the incident. It speaks volume about your charcter when you completely ignore religious intolerance and mob voilence by your brothers and try to justify it by bringing in other incidents. What you are saying is that everybody is bad, therefore religious intoleration by muslim is justified, it is no big deal...Ameen.
P.S. If this was done by Jews or anybody else to muslims, hell will break loose, they will be labelled as the scum of the earth.

so it is not even copy of quran, it is a some book that quotes quran. literally wearing religious sensitivity on sleeves, particularly when facing communities that will not be protected by state and unable to defend themselves.
