Dharam Bharsht concept due to touch of us Muslims (Maleechhs) was beyond this Hindu Pani Muslim pani in united India. If a Muslim by accident step into Rasoi of a Hindu, they had to clean that up. What was the justification of living together, when people couldn’t eat from the same plate. The things have now improved a lot on both side of the border, but at that time people really felt that discrimination and therefore opted to leave their ancestral homes.

From what I have heard muslims were considered to be worse than shudars, there was a reason why a big proportion of the population was apprehensive of living in United India.
