This is the story of Prem Chand, a bright young social worker from Sanghar (Sindh), one of the members of Youth Parliament, and one of those who died in plane crash . His death – like the death of everyone on that flight – was a matter of national tragedy; the treatment of his dead body a matter of national disgrace.
He could have been marked as Hindu or non-Muslim, but using the word ‘Kafir’ is the worst example of intolerance.
It’s the act of an invidual, so I don’t think It has anything to do with religion at all.
Since you don’t like people using this term for non-Muslims, what are your views on the not so Mahatma Gandhi using this very same term to refer to Black South Africans?
Re: Hindu social worker killed in plane crash marked as "Kafir"
very sad to hear this, although it might have been to distinguish his body so he gets a proper funeral
but since we live in a secular country of pakistan ( which is incorrectly called "islamic republic" ) there should be no discrimination on the basis of religion.

I don’t want to derail this thread, but your avatar symbol for (Allah (SWT)) reminds me of the khanda !!!
He who wants to label a dead person should be able to ‘look into his heart and say that he did not accept before he died’. If he cannot make this claim then he cannot place this label.
Re: Hindu social worker killed in plane crash marked as "Kafir"
This was the case of one victim, as a result of the fault of a few individuals, but some people in this thread and in the other one, tried a lot to term it a "National Disgrace", as if the man had won a noble prize for Pakistan. I understand it to be a wrong step whoever did it, but there is no use of becoming an overly emotional being, and bringing the whole nation into it.
I understand that one should complain about this wrong step but such a height of whining on an individual case is not reasonable, specially when on the other hand, the international media and news reporter replace the term "Terrorists" with a newly developed word "Islamists" (not in the dictionary) for more than a BILLION people BUT then, the same whiners take a heavy dose of sleeping pills.
First I must say few points for those who might get it wrong.
1- Faith is a personal choice.
2- Hate based on faith is an utterly wrong act.
Now:
No one can look in to someone’s heart. So no point anyone to ask or hope for that.
Best we can do is to ask straight forward question and hope we get honest or correct answer.
Loss of life in this manner is a tragedy by itself, but the way the posts are being displaye here and articles are being posted as if besides one person or two, all others did not mean so much.
The stupid, bigot person named Darwaish on so called Pakistaniat.com wrote an article and hence brought this sensationalistic threads by Hindus and we are accepting one person’s sad and remorseful death as “National Tragedy” and someone’s act of calling him as kaafir as “National Disgrace”?
My question is:
Where are those Hindus when people call Ahmadis Kaafir and not calling it as “National Disgrace”?
Do you see the point? When it comes to Hindus, it is National Tragedy and National Disgrace?
P.S.: Kaafir could mean anything bhai sahab for many people, but one thing is for sure. A Kaafir is not a deragatory term. Kaafir means someone who is/was in “denial”.
