OK OK I know many of you have had enough of ‘this topic’ from some recent threads but plz bear with me for a much bigger picture and positive outlook on the topic.
I am posting some Urdu columns recently written by Irshad Ahmad Haqqani (a prominent and leading Columnist from Pakistan) and one supporting column by another columnist. imo its a very nice effort by them to put things in context for us, deflecting rhetorical emotions that have been enslaving nearly 1.5 billion population of the Subcontinent for decades, and look for some positive options that will be in the best interest of both Hindu and Muslims in the long run.
I would encourage you all to read these columns especially those who strongly believe that peace between the two countries is impossible and that its some kind of battle between forces of good and evil in subcontinent and that ‘the good’ (their side) have to win in any case and by all means. I hope you will be able to see the bigger picture and notice the ‘prison’ that we all have been in for so long by giving in to empty emotions.
I am not here to change anyone’s views/beliefs about anything but I do believe that the silent observer inside everyone is an important part of the change thats happening around us.
Now about columns, reading from the links will be easier I think but I am posting both images and links. The first column has a bit longer preface which I think is important to understand the whole message. For those who cant read Urdu I’ll try to translate the important bits in English.
