Shops within and around the mosque’s compound also looted by extremists

An extremist Hindu mob set a mosque on fire in Delhi on Tuesday, chanting Jai Shri Ram and Hinduon ka Hindustan while barging in Ashok Vihar area with a Hanuman flag placed on top of the structure.

Shops within and around the mosque’s compound, including a footwear shop, were being looted. Locals highlighted that the looters are not residents of the area, which is predominantly Hindu but has few Muslim families. Though there were a few firefighters present at the site, police could not be seen, The Wire reported.

At least nine people were killed and about dozens were injured in clashes on Monday in the Indian capital during protests over the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA).

The clashes erupted between thousands demonstrating for and against the new anti-Muslim citizenship law. Police used tear gas and smoke grenades but struggled to disperse the stone-throwing crowds.

Since Sunday evening, Delhi has seen new wave of riots and targeted violence – triggered by BJP leader Kapil Mishra’s ‘ultimatum’ to the Delhi Police that the anti-CAA protesters in Jaffrabad and Chandbagh should be removed within three days – that has engulfed almost the entire country by raising concerns and questions on the authorities.

Yet we have some begairats like mahool, reha on this forum who term creation of Pakistan a mistake.. Death to this mombatti mafia!

Only one thing comes in mind hearing any such incident:

Thank you Quaid-e-Azam for having a separate country for us. Not sure what we did to get that lucky to have such leaders

I may bash the citizens of the country left and right, but calling the creation of Pak a mistake is a step too far :nook:
Creation of Pakistan was a logical step to protect Muslims short and long term. Whether or not the idea of Pak has been (fully) realized is another issue. My khandan has always lived in Pak and served in the army of British India or Pak and I respect those generations who left behind everything for a new life and country. Anyone who mourns for the partition of the subcontinent “which shouldn’t have happened” needs a reality check. Partition was necessary (the bloodshed obviously wasn’t).

Anyhoo, looking at the pics of Indian muslims being attacked I feel very hopeless at any improvement. Humans without humanity.

We shouldn't think that something like this happening justifies the creation of Pakistan because that would imply that something like this not happening undermines the creation of Pakistan.

Creation of Pakistan should stand on its own, irrespective of what happens in India.

i beg to differ. Lets discuss.

Iqbal was a successful doctorate in Germany.

Quaid was a successful barrister in THE GREAT britian, which had "the sun never sets in.. " era going on in entire world.

And so were successful people like Aga Khan, Sir Syed etc. But they all saw one thing. They all envisioned the two nation theory. That if we even try harder to live as one nation in then indian subcontinent we wont be able to. Cuz we are simply not one. They saw clearly that once britishers leave, Hindu majority would try to dom the minorities. Hence the great struggle in the darkest of eras.

And today’s incidents prove their point. Thats why reading history and remembering it is sooo important for everyone

^ @krash I hear what you are trying to say but there are factual errors when you say that in congress rule nothing like this happened. Yes may not be on this scale but there was always something. Even pre-partition riots are on-record.

Its completely wrong that there were no expectations like this, once again two nation theory is completely based on it.

Ofcourse we wish Indian muslims to live in peace and have great successes but you tell me, is it going to happen?

Mark my words, its the beginning of an end. Thats Karma biting back in “Incredible” India’s ass after what they did in Kashmir.

Just remember that protests against citizenship law were actually dying but fanatic hindus triggered it again

Death toll from sectarian violence in Delhi rises to 18
The death toll from sectarian violence in New Delhi rose to 18 on Wednesday with at least 186 others injured as rampaging rioters in northeast Delhi set fire to buildings and vehicles and attacked journalists.

Since Monday 18 people have died, some with bullet wounds, according to medical director of the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital Sunil Kumar.

In addition to the deaths, at least 186 people — 56 police officers and 130 protesters — have been injured in the clashes, said New Delhi police spokesman Anil Kumar.

:smack:A thread about an incident in India turned to a discussion on the creation of Pakistan from the very first post. Hats off to you Pakistani Prince :hat:

:lajawab:

I agree, it's only going to get worse when fanatics are in power who consider Islam alien to the subcontinent. You know what time it is when secular Indian muslims have to ask themselves whether they should protest as muslims first or as Indians first.

I hope bigots in Pak won't turn against Hindus or other minorities. Sigh.

Your statement seems valid on the surface but there is no point in it other than a catchy rhetoric.

What some people are saying that the creation of Pakistan was from carving out Pakistan from Hindustan was for many reasons.

One of those many reasons is current affairs within Hindustan. Which was predicted and envisioned by those who worked hard to create Pakistan as well as the sacrifices of people who supported the creation of Pakistan.

In the past Modi Govt. in Gujarat showed same kind of hateful behavior.

Yet “majority of Hindustani people” elected and re-elected Modi.

What does this tell you?

It was hard for people of UC/CP to migrate because of economic and cultural reasons so they wanted everyone to stay which was mean and unfair of them. same is Asad u din trying to vent every now and then.
Likes of Abul kalam azad vision was too weak to realize that Muslims of India should get a handsome share of military jobs. but you know what happened to sikhs in 1984 despite their strong number in Indian army?
