She was minister of State in Mushy govt. and because of her performance their, she continued with the current PPP govt ( just like Firdous Aashiq Awan), she also did her part and changed her loyalties from Mushy to PPP...

The interviewer was patronizing, especially at the beginning and sent the minister little off track.
He let her answers guide the interview, rather than keeping control of the interview. She seems to be articulate and seems to understand ground realities. It's worth giving a try to someone like her who does not seem to be influenced by the defence establishments of Pakistan.

If the govt can keep defence establishments off the foreign policy, there are chances Pakistan can establish credibility. If the defence forces just did the govt bidding and the govt ordered them into tribal areas leaving "running the country" to democratic govt the day of peaceful Pakistan should not be far away.

i heard on one of the Pakistani TV Talk Shows which portrayed her as not an honest woman [she paid Rs.7500 in taxes while her net worth is more than Rs. 1.7 billion], she is inexperienced as **she is very young, **she has no formal education in political science [she holds a bachelor degree in hotel management and a master’s degree in tourism]. the host said she is inexperienced to face stalwarts like Clinton, indian forign minister who has 30 years of experience.

let’s see what she can do** :)**

she was State Minister for Economic Affairs and Statistics in Mush government and regarded Mushi highly for his reforms. So Mushi is the first who discovered this “talented” lady

Foreign Ministry is one job that I am totally against to giving to anyone just on the basis of loyalties. Only career diplomats should be appointed to such an important jobs.

Having said that, now that she has been appointed as FM of Pakistan, we should look ahead of her pretty face, not so feminine voice, big sunglasses and $3k bag. We should give her a chance to prove (or disprove) herself. Its unfair that she gets extra scrutiny for being female or for being young or for being pretty.
