Re: Hillary warns Pakistan of Dire consequences
Dear forum readers:
The seriousness of the situation requires us to move forward and keep our focus on clearing the region from the ongoing terrorist activities. While we may want to indulge in our differences and issues, the enemy continues to carry forward their goals of destabilizing the region. Our governments realize the importance of working side by side! The attempt to resolve any differences and devise a strategy to tackle the common threat holds the utmost importance. This recent meeting certainly deserves applause, as it attempts to do just that, and shedding any negativity upon it only creates a false notion. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton states: “We’re about 90, 95 per cent in agreement between the United States and Pakistan about the means of our moving towards what are commonly shared goals,” “And we have a work plan and a real commitment to making sure we are as effective as possible together.”
Do these statements issue a warning as suggested above, or do they show cooperation among two nations? Both nations have received enough criticism for carrying a different point of view, but credit should be given where it’s due! This meeting shifts the focus back to our common interests, while carrying forward our mission of defeating terrorism.
