She wants Pakistan to take action against the groups acting against American interests, but wants Pakistan to adopt ‘other measures’ to tackle groups acting against Pakistan (which are using Afghan sanctuaries to attack Pakistan)…it also seems as the Americans are not willing to do anything about those groups attacking Pakistan…how convenient!!!

Hillary warns Pakistan for not acting against extremists**
After visiting Islamabad in pleasant mode, Hillary Clinton, in an interview with American newspaper ‘Bloomberg’, said in hostile tone that either Pakistan act against extremists or be ready for dire consequences. She also said that Pakistan need American and Afghani support to fight against extremists.
However she stated that US government don’t want Pakistani forces to intrude into border areas and occupy the safe heavens of militants rather Pakistan may opt alternate ways to tackle them other than military operation. She also emphasized Pakistan for intelligence sharing in order to effective actions against militants.
She said that incidents like attack on US Embassy in Kabul can be avoided through better cooperation. She also admired Pakistan’s recent cooperation against Al-Qaeda.
So what will be those "Dire Consequences" Bomb us to Stone age??? destroy our economy??? imposing sanctions, news to Ms Clinton, you are already doing it... so whats new, please tell us..
This report in dynyanews is not accurately characterising what she said. For example - yes she said ‘dire consequences’ but it was in the context of “Pakistan if it doesn’t act may have to suffer the same difficulties that USa and Afghanistan are facing at the hand of terrorists”.
"Clinton said she urged Pakistan’s leaders to take advantage of the roughly 130,000-troop, U.S.-led NATO force next door in Afghanistan while it’s still there. The U.S. and NATO have begun pulling out troops and plan to hand full security control to Afghanistan’s government by the end of 2014. "
It is shameful what some of these media are doing to Pakistan. When people read the dunyanews piece, if they do not bother to go search and read the actual Bloomberg item, they’d go out with a very different view on what was emphasized! Don’t they realize anti-American attitudes inside Pakistan are dangerous when founded on such baseless reports?
Oh don’t you guys worry, you can call sherlock holmes^ to teach us how to read!
Are you serious? The same difficulties they are facing, Pakistan will face toooo??? 40,000 dead Pakistanis and 1000s of missing is nothing I guess. Go take a hike.
It is sensationalization at its best.
Twist the news just to create some stir and sell newspaper. Many evening newspapers are famous for doing so in Pakistan.

you don't have to agree with her but aren't you bothered she is being misquoted and your public is getting misled?
The seriousness of the situation requires us to move forward and keep our focus on clearing the region from the ongoing terrorist activities. While we may want to indulge in our differences and issues, the enemy continues to carry forward their goals of destabilizing the region. Our governments realize the importance of working side by side! The attempt to resolve any differences and devise a strategy to tackle the common threat holds the utmost importance. This recent meeting certainly deserves applause, as it attempts to do just that, and shedding any negativity upon it only creates a false notion. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton states: “We’re about 90, 95 per cent in agreement between the United States and Pakistan about the means of our moving towards what are commonly shared goals,” “And we have a work plan and a real commitment to making sure we are as effective as possible together.”
Do these statements issue a warning as suggested above, or do they show cooperation among two nations? Both nations have received enough criticism for carrying a different point of view, but credit should be given where it’s due! This meeting shifts the focus back to our common interests, while carrying forward our mission of defeating terrorism.
R u stupid. Katne daffa tumhari generals/senators ye kah chukkay hein ka Pakistan dahshat garde mein involve ha. aur es ko bhari qeemat chkane parhy gee.
Looks like you dont read newspapers and dont pay any attention as to what your lawmakers talk about???
