I work in IT in a desi firm and pretty much wear salwars everyday with hijab
We (me & hub) plan to move to Aus early next year… so, what wardrobe should I take with me.
, I do not even own a pair of jeans… so that is my situation..
All your inputs will be much appreciated… I wanna crack any interview in a new land without being seen wearing in-appropriate attire.
Request you to Please do post pics for ease of understanding
I live in Aus and work in a corporate environment. I don't wear hijab but my work attire is always conservative. This usually consists of tailored/fitted pants, blazer (when required) and pretty tops. I don't wear skirts or dresses as it is difficult to find ones which are long length and I feel odd wearing stockings as my legs are still on show and I don't find it appropriate. A friend of mine at work wears hijab and she pretty much dresses as I do, although her work pants are generally a bit more loose and shirts are a bit longer. Either way, you can definitely look stylish yet professional in a conservative manner.
Listen you can adjust yourself, if you work hard enough on yourself. Research some work outfits in Australia, US, UK etc. Mostly like Princess said, tailored trousers, blazers etc. Work suits. My mate in London is a Hijabi and works in a bank, very competitive and corporate work environment. She has work suits and pairs them up with pretty colourful hijabs. Has no issues.
