^ I think u have to ask your MIL before doing that, your MIL is using hijab or not ?? but in my opinion u have to ask before to avoid any problem.
In one of my relative wedding bride wear hijab so in wedding and valima dresses she made linings under the dupatta so no need of hijab, the beautician covered her head by dupatta completely.
