Yep, it's a massive no-no if ur religious, women who pluck their eyebrows are said to be 'cursed,' it was what prostitutes used to do in the days of Prophet Mohammed PBUH so indicates a woman of 'loose morals' apparently. Strictly speaking, the only thing u are allowed to do is remove a tiny tiny bit of the middle if u have like a monobrow. My old Qur'an teacher used to have pencil thin eyebrows and I know quite a few hijabis that pluck as well, it's not a ruling that's followed that widely.
I disagree with the point that a hijabi girl should not dress up, wear nice jewels and look beautiful on her wedding day, it's a shame that some people are so judgemental. If I wore hijab tho I would prob opt for a segregated wedding tho like Tabeebah mentioned, just seems easier. In some Muslim cultures brides wear these gorgeous white satin cloaks to cover their gowns (and hair) infront of non-mehrams, looks stunning and super elegant :)
