I kind of share the view in this poem.If a girl is going to do the dating shating stuff,I would rather she didnt wear the scarf.Hijab is a mark of piety. When people such as that wear it- ruins the whole symbol it stands for.
On the other hand its really non of my business what they do.
Sigh

^ Why does wearing a hijab automaticlly restrict a girl from doing things she wants? and why is it assumed that just because a hijabi is wearing jeans or watever.. shes a whore?
stop being so judgemental people... to both hijabis and non-hijabis
this poem is a joke

Just a guy's opinion here, but don't you think its a tad bit hypocritical to on one hand wear the hijab, a symbol of modesty, and do other things that any rational person would consider immodet to say the least.
Also, I don't think the poem is implying that anyone who doesn't wear a hijab is a whore, but there are some who behave like that. Ppl need to stop being so defensive about either wearing/not wearing the hijab, wearing it doesnn't make you a saint, not wearing it doesn't make you a whore. There are whorish girls who do wear the hijab perhaps, and "clean cut" ones who don't.
Someone mentioned that hijab is both guys and girls in its essence, what exactly is a hijab for men? As far as I know, I can go out wearing a tank top and shorts w/o any problem.
one of my best friends was a goth, she was the jean clad type, with the most wonderful personality, but she said she wouldnt wear the hijab till she would dress in a way that respected it, and uphold its image.
shes into more modest dress now, and started wearing the hijab :) thats the way to do it,
dressing to attract and dressing islamically.
its abit like wearing a summer top and wellington boots, it DOESNT GO.
Merai laal, until you become a female, a very real possiblilty, please do not “judge” the frustration pent up by slamming our head against chovanist judgemental male attitudes.
How dare one dictate the terms of my dress? Do not presue to be so morally superior as to even suggest I do not have the spirituality to be true to both myself or my god.

I haven't just come up with anything! i know the words in the poem may be a bit harsh but it's reality! I recieved it in my mail box so i thought i'd share it with everyone...and i really agree with what is being said in the poem.
I dont call ' a bit of material tied round ur head hijab' and body revealing tops and pants being islamic and fully covered.
Some people really do know how to misuse the whole concept of the hijab.
Everyone has their own views. and i respect them.......
I personally do not like this way of doing dawaah.
Yes girls should and must wear hijaab and dress modestly (according to Islam) and guys must lower their gaze and also dress modestly.
This poem is just not the right way to convince somebody to wear hijaab. I have seen many who do not wear hijaab, but this does not mean they are in any way bad or as someone said (disgusting) whores.
I think people need to take a course in dawah before telling people such things.
This is just my way of looking at it. The poem wasn't good!
Please correct me if i am wrong but slandering a woman's charachter is worthy of many lashes in Islam...disgusting to even use words like a whore..fittay moo and 70 lashes to you.
where is the hijab in your language?
a further 70 lashes and a few slaps too
Hitchki gothdom percieved by me as one of the phases some teenagers go through
ofcourse you can dress islamically whilst being a goth, i wouldve thought itd be easier consideringthe humongous baggy clothing, but then that depends on the individual
if theyre going out of their way dressing in black eye shadow, lipstick and piercings all over their face, a huge chunky steel chain tucked into their jeans, with a tiny scrap of white cloth attached to their head which is clearly a scarf, IMO its not right
theres obviously a conflict going on, you cant be a rebel, worship the devil AND worship god?? Thats just crazy bcos most goths DO worship Satan
