Re: HiJab sTyLe;)

those pics look like they're for the lebanese ladies. they're the ones who tend to mix fashion and hijab way more than any desi women i've seen.
i dont see why more women don't do that- i dont think a little bit of style is haram... especially if you keep it within limits. those models seemed to be pretty modestly dressed - arms covered, not too fitted clothing, etc.

in dubai, when you see the local girls out in their scarfs and abaya's, even though they might be dressed in all black, they have such gorgeous kaam on them with beading and crystals on the bottom of their abayas or on the backs. they have plain ones and they also have dressy ones and some of them can be really pricey but so beautiful! religion doesn't have to mean cutting out all the pretty things in your life, does it?

Re: HiJab sTyLe;)

^no it does not but those pretty things grab attention and that's why bells, shiny and shimmery stuff not allowed in Islam.

Re: HiJab sTyLe;)

I agree with you....

Re: HiJab sTyLe;)

I found that turkish website…with dozens of hijab styles.

I’ll have to visit turkey to buy these beatiful khimars inshaAllah.

Re: HiJab sTyLe;)

well beading and crystals is entirely different from "bells, shiny and shimmery stuff." why would you have bells on your clothes? and shiny/shimmery stuff belongs to the 70's :p
after all, you're not a circus act, you're someone wearing a beautiful, couture, "kaam wala" abaya. do you also not wear lovely desi clothes to weddings and other occasions because they attract attention? sorry, i don't agree with your logic.

Re: HiJab sTyLe;)

haha it's perfectly ok you don't have to agree with me.

When was the last time you went to Pakistan? Shiny/shimmery stuff is so in. By bells I meant the lil' noise makin' things not sure what they are called but they are usually on mehndi outfits and they are also in anklets.

Yes I do wear "kaam walay" clothes to weddings but attracting attention is not allowed in Islam period.

Re: HiJab sTyLe;)

but wait, those bells are on hijabs?? thats a bit weird. cos i was referring to decorative hijabs and abayas. haha :p

Re: HiJab sTyLe;)

What does it mean?
the models in these pictures are getting attraction bcoz of modelling and posing and not bcoz what they're wearing. They are dressed quite modestly.

Re: HiJab sTyLe;)

hareem01: I was not talking about the models in the pics. Read SGS post and you'll know what I'm talking about but even if you don't get it don't worry :p

Re: HiJab sTyLe;)

SGS Yes I have seen bells on hijabs along with other decorative stuff. And not just bells but chains and lil' bangles :p

Re: HiJab sTyLe;)

nice in general...some r a bit weird

Re: HiJab sTyLe;)

LOL!.. hate to repeat the same thing.. but ya.. how about if i not use the word ‘sexy’ and just say the girl lookin cute?.. would you still take it the wrong way?

Re: HiJab sTyLe;)
