Hijab Pins/Accessories to wear to a wedding

Okay so I wear hijab, and I’m always looking for new way to spice it up for weddings that I go to. So far I have a collection of hijab pins, but I’d like to vary it a bit. I’ve tried pinning earrings/jhoomars on but they don’t always work, was looking for something new.
Any ideas what I can use, and where I can get them from?

Thanks! x

I love the headband on hijab look specially if they’re delicate and intricate - so maybe try pearl and diamante headbands: I always buy these types when Accesorize has a sale

My inspiration was this look from ihijabi.blogspot.com

And for a more casual daytime look, this picture from — I think, Rabia Z

wow......headband on hijab.....conjures up so many possibilities......looks nice too!
mA.

I wonder how one of those feather type headbands would look.......

A friend of mine puts large rhinestone/gemstone broaches on her hijab......some look good others attract too much attention.

I guess there's a fine line between pretty and over-done....as always.

Actually I love the glitzy brooches too

I have one that looks like this but in lighter tones of gold and champagne so perfect for most desi formal outfits

And I like to wear it either on the side of my hijab close to my face

Or using it to pin my hijab to my top

And I haven’t tried this yet – am still looking for the perfect necklace but one of my friends has this silver coins necklace and uses it like a matha-patti type of hijab accessory similar to

And it just makes her face all glowy with the reflection of the coin things!

And I don’t do this with formal clothes but with a casual sundress or something: I just place the middle of the a mid-length scarf on my head, pull both ends of the scarf to one side and tie it with a beaded hairband

i actually have this simple matta pathi thing that im waiting to wear over my hijab..maybe on my cousin’s shadi sometime in the future. Got it from Forever 21 last year.

its similar to this:

A chandalier earring is pretty as well. I like them when they are pinned on the side of the head, but more closer to the back/ bun.

and tikka is pretty good. depending on how big your forehead is.

pretty headbands are cute too  i have tons with sitara and beads on them. but then easy on the rest of your accessories and hijab. Check out Aldo for hair/headbands.

forever21 had tons like this..i can go on all day about accesorizing your hijab.

Even a great hijab style with simple pins makes all the difference as well

I know exactly what you mean

And by the way, I love this picture that you linked

If you can, do post a picture of how you make that style work with your hijab, please!

Re: Hijab Pins/Accessories to wear to a wedding

Way too much going on for me. I like to keep it simple and chic!

Re: Hijab Pins/Accessories to wear to a wedding

^ i like that, but looks good on western wear, not on pakistani outfits. Arabs do this a lot.

Re: Hijab Pins/Accessories to wear to a wedding

See, I’m not too big a fan of this. This is called ‘hijab styling’, I have a group of friends who do it for weddings to get their scarf made to look like pretty flower shapes and stuff, but I dont think I’d do it myself.

I’ve tried fascinators and stuff, but they dont always go with asian outfits, especially if they have feathers coming out. Recently I’ve seen a lot of girls mix hijab together with a tikka or a jhoomar wth it, not sure if my face if big enough for that!

I’ve seen the matha patti style too, it’s a nice bridal look. I was thinking of getting diamonte head pieces (I’ve seen custom made ones for around 20 pounds which is not cheap, but it’s okay), was thinking of getting some made? Will post pics of what I mean if I find any
