Well just have a thin one, but not so thin that you can see through it.
I hope it helped :)
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
i agree ^
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
chameli i wore hijab and abaya [burkha] in saudi Arabia for 9 years.
Not to mention our school uniform included T-shirt with a long kameez over it, shalwar and our V shape dupapta. All of that underneath the abaya.
We were roasted everyday but after a while you learn to live with it.
Try using light material.
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
not just light but fabric that breathes. I still cant fathom why the abayas and burqaas have to e black polyester/nylon..damn man. or the shuttlecok burqas are darkbrown and of thick thick thick cotton.
I think thre is money to be made if ppl start selling stylish, colourful, burqas for different climates and seasons, maybe wven with detail and embroidery etc.
why not a pin linen burqa with mesh inserts underarms etc to aid in temperature controla and ventilation etc.
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
^Yay. Thermal Burka's with different pockets to keep an asosrtments of Taweezs.
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
oh yeah and same goes for hijab..linen, cotton light airy, breathing ventilated hijab..now thats what is needed.
its not just for women, anyone who has worn a jinnah cap in summer could also vouch that we can make those caps ventilated somehow.
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
why not, i mean if you are travelling in a cold place would it not make sense to have a thermal burqa, or a burqa constructed like some of the best jackets and trenchcoats out there, removable lining, assortment of pockets to carry id, money, change, incidentals etc. (no whiskey flask of course)
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
It does make sense, Infact I have heard they have designer burkas/hijab's in SAUDIARABIA.
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
Try to avoid the georgette, nylon hijabs and shaylas. Stick to cotton- light colours like baby blue, baby pink, cream, white etc.
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
Agree with everyone about wearing a lightweight scarf that allows your head to breath and light colours.
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
Either wear or not, Don't complain.
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
use light breathable material.
Also you can use your dupattas as a hijab. The dupatta materials are pretty light and airy.

Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather

a dupatta somewhat wrapped loosely over your head but pined on the side, so that it won't fall from your nose (face covered) is more suited to hot climate than the stylish tight hijaab worn by girls in the west. I appreciate to have a hijaab on my forehead when it's hot cause it absorbs sweat:D
i don't like thick hijaab, i prefer coton or crepe chaddar/dupatta.any see through light fabric that is wrapped in two layers ain't seethrough after;)! but let your head breathe!
anyway when outside temperature is over 37° it's best to keep your whole body/face protected from outside heat by many cloth layers!
remember that when you're expected to sweat (exercise or temperature) artificial material is a big NO NO!
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
Oh stlish, colorful burka/hijab ???
How shameful! A woman who wants variety and escape from the thick black crappy material.. ![]()
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
Remain in Air condiioned place and wear anything you like
cover you head if you out in sun with light, bright colour scarf
keep bottle of mineral water with you, always.
Ps. can anyone explain to me what is meant by the term "hijaab tight" ?>
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
chameli if a person want to cover her self she doesnt care about that hot weather,in hot weather of saudi arabia womens not only wear hijab but also gloves.once i asked my hubby that how these womens wear all this in such a hot weather he replied they do care about the aag of jahanum.
anyway its better to wearcooton hijab other than other materials.
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
^ bibi in some places jahanam is at the distance of only 0 km
at these places people protect themselves from suraj ki aag more than they any thing else. People who travel alot in pakistan wear gloves of white color. and cover themselve with cloths, men women both. Just to save themselves from scorching sun ![]()
*jahanam ki aag ka maza lena hai tu May june main Pakistan ajayee … *
Re: Hijab in Pakistans hot weather
very usefull:k:
a tigh hijaab, is the fashionable way of wearing hijaab in the west (young european girls do it) they wrapped their head and nack with a scarf very very tighly, it’s suffocating, but in the cold winter it’s quite nice;)
