Hijab and Hadith (split from Life1 thread)

PCG I usually don’t take part in debates regarding the hijab, but your comments are just beyond stupidity. Yes it doesn’t say anything about hijab in the Qur’an, but in Islam we follow not only the Qur’an but Hadiths. You should try reading a few.

Wiser people than you (and all of us) have spent their entire lives studying the Qur’an, Hadith, Sunnah, etc. and I don’t think I’ve ever come across a scholar that has said that you don’t need to wear hijab.

Just so you know, I’m a very career-oriented hijabi who is working in a very demanding profession. I also have a famliy. Just because a woman chooses to cover herself, please don’t make the ignorant mistake of thinking that she is an unpar jaahil.

Id actually like to know which hadith actually refers to covering ur head.. specifically

I have no issue with people wearing hijab… their own choice. But, i have an issue when people say it’s in the Quran or that there is a hadith.. without actually quoting it.
