are you asking about where to put the hijab pins or specifically the above posted pins?
As far as the hijab pins are concerned, you pin your scarf at the chin and these sepcific hijab pins saves you from runs and tears caused by using common safety pins, and above all the hijab pins doesn’t rip or snag the delicate scarves of georgette, chiffon, or silk.
The posted hijab pins can be used to pin your hijab on the top of your head.
now does this make any sense to you?

I just mentioned that these posted pins would go on the top of your head rather than under the chin, there is a wide variety of hijab pins and the one that goes under your chin looks more like this:

pretty pins. I think if you are pinning your hijab on the side then maybe u could use these

these still hurt...no matter which pin u use it hurts the neck....it leaves like a bruise on mine so now i wear a different one
not to mention i have poked my self on the head n under da chin (throat/neck wuteva u wana call it) a billions of times...gotta tell u it ain't a pretty site :(

what do you do with these pins.. I guess you intentionally poke them in..
aray baba these pins don't hurt.. well ok lets make it this way, these pins never hurt me but then I am the person who is even fine with safety pins, if that wasn't for the safety of my hijabs, I might have always used the safety pins. :-D
by the way, why don't you change your style of wearing a scarf, because as far as my understanding goes, you might wear it the way that these pins hurt, as I have never seen anyone else complaining about this.

I find the pins usually snap or break and I end up poking myself in the chin. Ouch.
i ahve stopped pinning up my scarf. i used to but my oversensitive skin developed an allergy which took far too many visits to a dermitologist and medicies and oitments to get rid off.
i m thinking off taking it off but then that would look awkward, but widout a pin it looks untidy. :(

naie yar, i pin it under the chin and then on head. n i pin it tightly by the chin other wise it keeps going back n my hair keep showing 
that’s y it leaves marks under my chin and then i end up poking my self everytime n NO i refuse to poke myself intentionally that’s like getting shots or something :nono3:

Just put a safety pin.. thats wat i do..
why dont you wear your scarf arab style?? that way you have the other pins, (cant for the life of me remember what theyre called, they have a tiny ball at one end)
one on the top and two at the sides, saves your throat and put them in under the folds of the material, that way they dont show, and the scarf stays put as well as looks good
