Wondering if you would be kind enough to help me please?
I am looking for hijaabs which are elasticated in the bit you wear over your head and the scarf part can be wrapped over the elasticated part in a fashionable way! Any advice would be great on where I can get it please? Maybe websites someone could recommend?
i dont where abouts in uk you are from but you can get them alot in east london pm me where you are from and i will tell you where to go or do a random search on google and they will give different sites:D
The Hijaab Centre in Blackburn do an amazing range if you are located nearby....what you are looking for is also sometimes called "Kuwaiti Scarf".
Be wary of buying from fabric shops etc who don't specialise as they are often homemade cheap versions and go all over the place once on!!!!
Doesn’t fashion make the hijab pointless? Isn’t hijab supposed to keep you modest and keep wandering eyes off of you? Wearing a fasionable hijab defeats the purpose doesn’t it? A little hypocritical too maybe?
I personally don’t believe in hijab and these kinds of comments are what make hijab a joke in my opinion.
Sorry if I sound harsh, I don’t mean to be, I’m just curious and trying to understand your thought process.

Indeed the point of hijaab is to try not to attract attraction to themselves. But i guess many girls who are trying to gain sawab by wearing the hijab are also at the same time a bit in-secure, and do feel the need to occasionally try and be a little attractive, or they have a desire to be fashionable, but becasue they belive in the reasons for hijab they cant and do not wish to take off the hijab but yet appear presentable. many reasons for girls wearing hijab fashionably, but it doesnt mean a girl should stop wearing hijab, at least she is doing sumthing.... but yes now-adays you do find girls wearing hijab, and wearing tight jeans with short tops, that is upsetting to see, as i have asked a guy once, and he said yes he remebers bing very attracted by a girl , physically because she had nice tight jeans on.....
i guess we all have desires, desires to look nice, feel good etc etc...desires will be with us till our death....its human nature....
anyway all our sins and sawab's will be added and weighed.... the more good we do the more whiter and cleaner our hearts will be, the more sins we commit the black our hearts will be....and that will determine how much punishment in the grave we will get....
may Allah make us stronger and guide us on the right path which will please Allah. Ameen.
Some one help me please. I am feeling a little torn.
at the start of this year I started wearing the Hijaab with my heart and soul. Work, shopping, visiting family you name it I wore it. I am also keen on fashion and pretty hairstyles. Although this never seemed to worry me before I am now feeling that I have lost my old self. I do wear make-up altough not heaps of it but I do feel like a hypocrite. All of my family (In-laws) are modern and fashionable and I really feel frumpy. I do buy my scarves from Tie Rack and wear them in a fashionable way. I do find that people judge me in the first 5 minutes but then when they get to know me it becomes irrelavant.
After looking at so many different subjects regarding the hijaab, i.e. how to wear at a wedding etc I am now starting to question the whole thing.
I think that with current ussues, I am more likely to attract attention wearing it than when I don’t wear it. I feel you are judged and this superiority complex turns up. I went to a wedding and was getting winked left, right and centre by the hijaabi girls. Occasionally I don’t wear it and do feel bare, however do prefer it because people tend to treat you normally and leave you alone.
