The well highly educated senior advocate Aitzaz Ahsan during an exchange of talk inquired from the writer Ejaz Haider that he does not understand why democracy has worked in India but not in Pakistan. I am very surprised a high caliber person like Aitzaz Ahasan does not know the answer to most simple question. Democracy could not flourish that Pakistan’s top democracy lover and greatest socialist and spiritual of Atizaz Ahsan’s own party, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto who came to provide Roti to common man did not provide even a little clean water let alone Roti whereas he himself drank French Mineral water. Democracy could not come because our M.N.As and Senators had never been and still are not of that character as that of India. For example Ardeshir Cowasjee in his column stated MQM M.N.A Kunwar Younis was apprehended driving stolen car. MNA Kunwar did not feel the remotest shame clarifying this in a very characterless manner. The M.N.A explained he was not driving the stolen car but the Police inspector stopped him driving vehicle with tinted glasses. He further stated that this was discriminatory act of Police as at the same time many tinted glass vehicles were passing from the same road to which Kunwar Younis pointed to Police. Our this M.N.A from the so called educated ethnic group did not feel any shame that being a legislator he was supposed to more respect the law to create example for the public rather than like illiterate people say others were also doing the same. When we always have such people in our assembly how can democracy work. Is there any other nation in the world whose leaders prefer getting nationality of another country and rule as an East India Company manner through remote control phone line speakers? And so called educated followers of such a leader dance on the roads distributing sweet on the news that their leader had got foreign nationality as if their leader had got allotment letter of a Party Secretariat in Janat. Indian leaders do not get, even do not apply foreign nationality because they have a character and do not apply foreign nationality.

it doesnt work in Pakistan because the elected members are not ordinary people of Pakistan. so they dont work for people of Pakistan but for own personal gains.

Nowhere did he say “at taxpayer’s money”. So stop lying.
Even if he said that, can someone in UK and USA complain that why Blair and Bush fly in their own planes, and not take commercial planes? you become head of the state, and you get some preferntial treatment, much better than the poor ppl in Brroklyn, Lyari and Luton.
